Sheldon's site is where I found what I needed to build up my first fixed gear. It was always the site I referred people to by saying, "Search for any bicycle-related term and you'll find it right away." I only ever met him in person a couple of times, but we crossed paths on many email lists many times. Occasionally I argued with his opinionated posts, but he always knew what he was talking about and handled every flame war with wit and grace. Best wishes to his friends and family, and may his contributions to the cycling community be remembered and appreciated for many years to come.
