When I bought my first old bike, a 60s era Raleigh, I started looking onlin
e for the "experts" and Sheldon's name kept coming up at the top of the lis
t. I read his pages and emailed him with questions. He was never too busy t
o help out. I have dozens now, so I use his information even more. He is th
e reason I am on this list and others. He is also the reason I have glued l
ights and occassionally horns to my helmet. He never forgot that collecting
and riding old bikes is supposed to be fun. That's my real lesson from him
