>From what I've heard, the branded bars (and panto stems, branded saddles, milled seatposts, chainring and shift levers) were placed on VERY few early Carlsbads ... they got a small batch of these parts (perhaps a few hundred s ets, probably less), in 1973 or early 74 and they went fast. Rarest of all is t he branded ttt saddle... partly because the logos wore off easily, just as the logo on the Unica did. In addition (according to a shop employee at the ti me) they were not as comfortable as the Unica so a lot of owners just didn't wan t them... they ended up being left at the bike shop and eventually got dropped in the bargain bin.

Masi branded/milled/pantoed parts appeared with far more frequency on Italia n bikes, from around 1973 to the mid 80's... and in addition to the above mentioned, there were also some branded Mavic and Nisi rims that appeared be ginning in the mid to late 70's. Some panto brake levers also, if I remember right . So most of the parts you will see for sale on ebay probably originated in Europe. Of course most of the stems say Alberto, not Faliero...
