I don't recall exactly the year that the Modolos Kronos came out (seems 80s not 70s), but I recall in early triathlon days, folks would install them just because they were required to have brakes, not that they were supposed to work. I also recall the CLB being of that ilk. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
