Dale, thank you for putting together such an exhaustive set of high-quality (and labeled!) photo album. How many photos are there? It took me close to an hour to get through all of them. But it was certainly worth it. Probably the next best thing to being there.
I know this post comes a few days behind the times, but even if you've already seen some of the NAHBS pics from other people, I recommend you give Dale's presentation a look. Seriously, there are no bad photos. Even the close-ups are great, and if you've ever tried shooting close-ups with available light and no tripod, you know it's not easy. It's obvious that Dale spent a lot of time in putting this together.

I finally edited, deleted and published a passel (passle?) of my pics from Portland. You are probably OD'ed by now of shots from this fabulous event but here are mine, some good, some not-so-good.

Best in Show?
Geez.? I would have to pick from (in no particular order):
- Bruce Gordon's ever so understated tour de force lugged ti bike - Mike Kone and Mark Nobilette's amazing neo Herse chrome touring bike. True to Herse's legend and awesome - Peter Weigle's stuff but I just love that 1970s Time Trial bike. - Richard's classy & subtle old Campy new framed bike ("neo-classic"?) - Brian's unpainted frame he is making for Kirk Pacenti - John Slawta's historical bike on which Andy Hampten won the Giro. - The vintagesque white Davidson with 531 looking 853 decals. - Mark Nobilette's masterful 'A' frame - Tony Piera's touring rando bike - OK, the Naked bike... really imaginative but not my personal cup-of-tea, but you have to give him big points.
and on and on....Holy mackerel, there were some significant bikes there!
The Recyclery party was great, some special bikes and fun folks.
And River City Bike Shop is amongst the coolest I have ever seen.
What a trip!

**Saturday** SLAP DASH ALLEYCAT So you're framebuilders. This alleycat is a sloppy gumbo of framebuilding and street racing...and you're welcome to take either one as seriously or not-seriously as you want. Be prepared to read a map, use a hacksaw, cross bridges, and make the crappiest welds of your life. Checkpoints will be in basements and warehouses where local builders, including some freakbike builders, do their thing. Prizes for fastest and most creative. For those of you familiar with bikeportland.org, the start/finish location is where the bikeportland.org benefit party is going on.
