Group --

Regarding the WHOLLER, the gentleman owns a WALLER "Kingsland" model that w as pre-owned and resprayed by someone with a wierd sense of humor... I own a "Kingsbury" model (CR archives) and have the shop drawings for both mode ls.. All the details are the same.. stallard dropouts, little detail on th e fork crown and blade (my drawings only -- not on my bike), the lugs on th e head tube and fillet welds on the top and down tube -- ala Singer and Ren sch. I fear that it is what it is inspite of what someone lettered it lat er...

BACKWARDS THREADS... Perhaps when the Hetchins BB issue is resolved, some one can tell me about the MAXI-CAR hub that I laced up, only to discover that neither a Br itish or French freewheel would go on it... Finally determined that it was a metric/French thread, but they too were left handed. Couldn't find a le ft hand threaded freewheel, so changed it out... Always figured that someo ne in the factory either had a hangover or a weird sense of humor (and perh aps resprayed Waller's on the side?).

LAMBERT EXTRACTOR THREADS... The early Lambert used a 7/8" x 24TPI extra ctor. Stronglight pre-82 used a 23.35mm x 1mm, and a 22mm x 1mm thereafter . TA used a 23mm x 1mm Not that I carry this sort of thing around with me -- I looked in Sutherland"s.

And, I did not use up my 3 post per day limit!
