Jan is indeed correct. Cycles Boisis closed sometime after 1999 and before 2003. The sisters were still running it in 1999 when I stopped in during my quest for fenders. I did acquire a pair of plastic fenders from them. When they learned that I had just become a PBP ancien (aka finisher) they pulled out a registry book that they had been maintaining for 30 or so years. I signed it, paid for the fenders and said merci.
In 2003 the shop had been converted to a high style bike shop selling top end racing bikes. Boisis sold those type of bikes in 1999 but they also sold and serviced everyday bikes (commuting bikes) and kids bikes. I had insufficient time to visit Avenue due Grand Armee last year. In 2003 there were two shops on that block in Paris. The other was Cycles Oxygen. A big dealer for Gitane and Bianchi. I'll stop now as this info is not really relevant to the list.
