Peter Kohler's outing of his extraordinary Falcon San Remo prompts me to seek assistance to date a not-as-nice Falcon San Remo that I recently acquired. Pics are here:

The lugs, fork crown, and seat stay treatment are all nearly identical to Dale's brown Falcon shown on the CR Falcon page; however, mine is straight gauge Reynolds 531 as indicated by the Reynolds decal I show (takes a 26.2 mm seatpost), and it also came with a cottered bottom bracket spindle installed. Other features include a lamp bracket on the left-side fork, an oiler hole on the underside of the bottom bracket shell, and no derailleur hanger. Serial #J19204 is on the underside of the BB shell. It's all chrome underneath the paint, and the overall finishing is pretty rough. I would think those features point to early 1960s, perhaps close to the 1960 debut of this model, but I'm hoping for more educated guesses than I can muster.
