1984 or 1988 maybe, but certainly not 1984, no? Here is a replica bike that Colnago built in '81, very similar to the bikes they supplied the USSR Olympic team in 1980 (warning, paint is not original, or even close to what original looked like, which was basic red):

Here's a link to a pink bike seen in the Colnago Collection-it's a "funny-bike" used by the Russian team in the 1980 Olympics. Even the the seat post and crank-set are pink! Perhaps this was the origin of the pejorative term "pinko"? George
