I'm overhauling some 70's Cinelli rollers and have a few questions as I've never had a pair before.
The axle assemblies have a cone-nut without a wrench-flat that bottoms on the axle shoulder on the non-belt side (no locknut). The belt side has a cone-nut with wrench-flats and a locknut. There are no seals of any type so the bearings are exposed.
Does that sound right, or am I missing parts?
Was grease used on the bearings or just light oil. It seems without seals either would spray out and make a mess?
I'm only planning on building them for display not to use, but I would like to put them together properly.
Thanks, Jon Williams
