Subject: [CR]RE:Cinelli bivalent hubs

I have posted some photos of Bivalent hubs on wooljersey (Morgan ,Thanks Again) To go back to the beginning of this string, It looks like all parts are present except for the T shaped tire stop which went into the fender attachment hole in the chainstay brace. This is shown in the first picture with the photo from the CONTI book in the background (Thank You, Harvey S) the one pictured is actually made from a 10/24 machine screw ,some wire and some basic hardware items.( original bike mechanics were Blacksmiths, Right?) these are usually left behind on some past bike so they do not show up very often. This allows you to position the rear wheel for easy mounting in the frame mechanism which is attached to the bike. The photo of the parts (blue background) will enlarge to a huge size to maybe help you all understand some of the various parts plus the freewheel to hub drive mechanism. Hub pictured is the first style with the spline that threads onto the hub(later ones thread into the hub-THANK YOU ! Peter J)

Hope this helps plus it should end up in the archives to help others in the future BOB FREITAS WARM MILL VALLEY ,CA USA
