I've been riding Tufos for a couple of years and I may never glue on another tire again. So much faster, easier and cleaner than rim cement. I used the extreme, but the regular works fine also. Tufo doesn't recommend their tape for non-Tufo tires. Their calim is that Tufo base tapes are cotton, whereas the rim tape doesn't work as well on base tapes containing nylon. Don't know if this is true or a marketing strategy to sell more Tufo tires.

I really like riding tubulars... Gluing them up, not so much. What do you all think of using tire tape...? The Tufo stuff. Have you used it? Did you like it? The regular or extreme stuff? I read about doing light glue on the rim and tire with the tape... Does that help? Or does it just make it more messy?

Like I said... I like tubulars... Allot.

I've rolled one off before... Didn't like the resulting crash at all.

Is "glue" no longer a necessary evil?
