Without going into Pam Fernandes palmeres, her performances are hardly 'on topic' time wise.
Ditto to those nominating Jeannie Longo, great cyclist, but of the late 80's/1990's, she did not win a world championship until 1986 which is outside the 'on topic' cutoff of 1984.

I'd include Pam Fernandes on that list. Pam is a three time paralympic medalist, won gold in 2000 with her tandem partner Al Whaley.
Not much gets in Pam's way, not her type 1 diabetes, not her blindness.
If I owned or could ride a tandem, she'd be my riding partner!
Let me know if you'd like to get in touch with her. I can provide you with the appropriate contact information.
Thanks,
Lee
