There was somebody who would set up a lathe to cut lockring threads onto road hubs; I wonder if this might be easier for chasing threads than having a specific tool made. If the setup charges are high, you could always convert some road hubs to track at the same time and sell them as *PISTA* *FIXIE* and recoup your costs... :-)
