Hey All,

In an interesting coincidence, I was given a vintage Velosolex just last week. My co-worker received this Velosolex bike from a friend who was an avid cyclist, but he didn't ride it often. Since it has sat in his barn for the past 4-5 years, he decided to give it to me.

With the exception of the saddle and tires, the bike appears to be all original: Huret derailleurs Malliard / Mavic wheelset Nervar cranks Mafac "competition" brakes

I haven't had a chance to date the bike, but my uninformed guess is mid to late 1970's.

The frame is stickered with Reynolds 531 Tubing decals and is the Etoile model. It has very nice long lugs and a chrome fork crown. The color is a brownish copper.

Unfortunately it is too big for me ... it measures approximately 62cm c-t-c on the seattube and 60cm c-t-c n the toptube.

I searched the Internet as well for information about Velosolex bicycles, but didn't find much.

If anyone is interested, I could post some photos.
