I asked dave moulton about this and his reply was: "I had some friends who lived in Santa Barbara and met Chris Pauley through them. He did some very nice work, but like many builders who although they do beautiful work, they never build enough frames to become efficient at it, and they never make any money. He never worked for me, his ex-girl-friend did come and work for me for a while when they broke up. Her first name was Jade, I don't know her last name, she was a real good worker and had a lot of framebuilding skills. I formed the opinion that Jade was probably the driving force behind the business, because we never heard much of Chris after the two split. Dave."
