Hi folks,
I was lucky enough to only have my front wheel hit this AM on my 83 Trek 720 by a intellectually challenged individual in an SUV.
The wheel may be toast - The front end was bumped & the stem ended up about 75 degrees out of alignment. I noticed shortly after that the wheel was out of true - an LBS said the rim's shot.
Questions: - Anyone have an NOS source for an appropriate 27" Rigida Rim? - What would be a good rim if I can't find NOS? (Sun CR18?) - When Checking the headtube what should I look for aka damage etc - I'd just as soon not do a faceplant.
