I've noticed a fair amount of these for sale, and they're stunning...but th ey're always shells only.

So I'm wondering:

\u2013 What period bike are they appropriate for? \u2013 How durable they are for modern road use? \u2013 How difficult and expensive is it to get the rest of the bit s you need to assemble them from a pair of shells?
