By the mid 1980s Schwinn was pointedly mentioning the Blackburn name in their literature rather than just "alloy rack" - as an indication of superior quality.

Looks like an early form of their "Expedition" rack with fixed horizontal stays.

Does anyone know when Jim Blackburn sold the name?

Blackburn products are currently owned and distributed by BELL (the helmet company). The Blackburn product line now includes pumps and lighting.
