Subject: [CR]die for italian lockring threads.

does anyone know a source for italian threaded lockrings? i have some low flange campy hubs that i just laced up, i tried to thread a phil wood lockring on them and it gets really tough to turn after about 1/2-3/4 of a revolution. there are a few spots where it looks like the threads were dinged. i cleaned them up a bit with a small file but still feels exactly the same.

right now i have what seems like two options. 1. get the file back out and very meticulously file the area of threads were i think the friction is coming from then grease the threads up and force the lockring on, lol. i'd rather not.

2. find the 1.32 x 24 left hand die so i can chase the threads. i'd rather do this. does anyone have this die? would you loan it out? i'll pay shipping both ways.

is this die more common than i'm thinking and could it maybe even be found in a shop? or better yet, in the nice campy tool kit at the local bike co-op????

thanks,
