The Sports Tourer is one smooth riding, rugged bike. It weighs about 26 pounds. I rode a thousand mile tour on one. It is not particularly "lively". The low BB gives stability and good tracking. In small sizes it may be a bit stiff due to the straight guage, fairly thick cromolly tubing, despite the long WB. The Huret rear dropout is a pain to adapt to decent rear derailleurs. I have had several of these and my wife has the Superior that was the end of the line. They are also available in a rather large size (25 1/2") for tall people and in that case the relative stiffness of the tubing probably makes for a a great economy classic for the Clydsdale types.
