THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THE HELP. believe it or not , i got an entire bike packed well under 108" . I am pretty amazed . Thanks especially to Steve Maaslands photos . i own an S&S coupled bike which also helped out on the jigsaw puzzle.
ive shipped many bikes domestically but have never attempted to make the size cut like this . I feel that the bike is packed more solidly than in teh past, with pipe insulation, dropout braces , and wheel axle plugs. It did take a few hoours.
i took a bunch of pictures of teh process and will post them on my wooljersey at some point under pbbikes.
The frame was a 56cm c-c , i dont think I could have made it , if it were any bigger.
