I am always on the lookout for a good source of paint for bikes that I am restoring. In particular, I recently noticed that Honda offers a chartreuse-like color (Kiwi) for its Honda Element Automobile :

Then, yesterday, I saw a Copper (Tangerine) colored Honda Element on the road next to me (see URL above). And I said, 'this it too weird'. And, today, I saw a taupe-colored car, although it was a flat color, closer to grey than champagne, not a metallic color.
What am I talking about? These were the color offerings for Raleigh's International, 1971-1976. Raleigh called these colors Chartreuse (which means, literally, 50-50 yellow and green), Copper, and Champagne. Somebody at Honda's color studio must have either owned one of those bikes, or at least they were a fan. Coincidence? I think not.
