Does anyone know anything about these saddles? Does Persons-Majestic actually manufacture them, or are they some sort of rebranded Asian production, or even rebranded Brooks? Anyone actually own one?? >>

Persons saddles used to be hot in the 6 days racing era...

Then in the 1970s-90s they were the exclusive importer of Brooks into the USA.

Then when Brooks and Sturmey-Archer got broken up and sold off, and San Marco bought Brooks, Persons was dropped. They then showed up at the Interbike Show with these new? made-in-India? attempt-to-copy-Brooks saddles. At 20 feet they look good, but are not so hot upon close inspection. Last I heard Persons was attempting to "re-source" the product as it was not up to expectations.

Recently came across a website for the Persons-Majestic Company in Ohio. They distribute a number of bicycle-related products, including a few models of Brooks saddles. They also sell Persons saddles. I believe Persons was a prominant American made saddle from the 1890's to about WWII. The owners of the current company claim to be direct descendants of the founder of the late 19th to mid 20th century company. Their current offerings include some sprung models, but also two models that appear to be very similar to a Brooks B-17 Champion Special and to a Brooks steel-railed Swift.
