I run up against the need for thinner cone wrenches when working on Sturmey Archer hubs and Huret DuoPar derailleurs. I just press the wrench against the face of a bench grinding wheel till I get the desired thickness. http://bikesmithdesign.com/SA/cone-wrench-mod.jpg
