My intro to cycling was working at Stokes Spokes in Huntington Beach, CA when the shop opened up downstairs of the apartment I lived in. Follis was the shop line. I lusted after one of those bikes like you wouldn't believe. The owner, George Stokes, eventually went on to be the team mechanic for the Bell racing team. Years later I heard that his son, Todd Stokes, became a talented road racer.
