Well, unless there is something wrong with my eyesight, the lugwork on that steel bianchi looks distinctly gas pipe 1940's, eg virtualy straightcut wi th no filing. The seat stays seem filet brazed (with a load of a material s pill unfiled). Still, interesting that a "forray" back to steel is being en visaged, though I suspect it is pure marketing. Unless, and I doubt this, s omeone at Bianchi has realized that carbon bikes have a very limited life e xpectancy unless hung on a wall and never ridden. The chrome only draws att ention to those fearsome lugs, but there again, all that shines is gold for a lot of people.

I say buy a 1940's or 50's gaspipe demi-course for 10 bucks, respray, stick a carbon pole into the seat tube, a clamp-on headset... and save yourself a couple of wheelbarrows of greenies. You could use some spray on chrome pa int to.
