Subject: [CR]1960s FOLLIS frame on French Ebay

The French seller, Carambaton, who used to be better known as Bilouflo u, put up for sale a couple of days ago, an interesting, if a little wors e for wear FOLLIS 1960s frame.

It was one of those discussed some months ago on the List, one with FOLLIS stamped out of the head-lug and LYON stamped out of the lower one. I say it "was" because no sooner had Carambaton introduced it with a price tag of 9 9 euro-cents than it disappeared..just when I had entered the number into M y Ebay tracking system..ready to pounce later on.

The expalanation on the site was that the seller had withdrawn it due to it being incorrectly advertised. Having checked the advert I think it was pre tty spot-on..except that the frame might have been a 1950s one.

Carambaton(bilouflou) does not usually pull his ads...so I am wondering if anyone out there has been reading the rcenet entries on the CR List about F OLLIS..and made the seller an offer he could not refuse. I also wonder why bilouflou, who had notched up quite a good selling record over a period of three years or so, should suddenly drop his trading name for a new and unkn own one.
