Subject: [CR]Handlebar Wrapping, etc.

I looked at Ray Dobbins site on bar wrapping, "the Chuck Schmidt way". This is also the way I wrap my bars. Basically, you don't install the levers until after the bar is wrapped. You just need a deep-well 8mm socked or wrench. A small piece of tape around the back of clamp, no figure 8's etc. required.

One refinement that I have allways used, is to get the tape wet before you wrap. You might think that this would lessen the adhesion of the glue, but it doesn't. The wet tape is much easier to wrap because it has much more angular flex with no rippling. When it drys, it is very, very tight around the bar and will not slip.
