One of my secrets to wrap and avoid showing lever clamps or metal around the levers is to use two smaller pieces of tape (2,5c m or 1 inch will do) linear on both sides of the lever clamps Inside and outside), not one piece around the clamps as usual. This works perfect with cork or plastic (PU foam) tape and with cotton tape if you have some excess tape. When using Benotto, which almost any time is too short, I use matching electrical tape to cover the clamps.
