Other than the on-list replies I got quite a few off-list offers for NOS
rims and several recommendations for the CR-18 and Velocity Twin Hollow.
FWIW, I took a look at the QBP catalog today and couldn't find the
Twin Hollow in 27".
One responder expressed some concern about the safety and true-ability of old rims. Most of my own experience with older wheels involves low-end bikes, and those rims have held up under my considerable girth without failure. Keeping them true is another story.....
