Big Purple Monster!
Offered for sale is a 1975 Raleigh Professional frame and fork in excellent condition. Constructed of Reynolds 531 tubing with chromed Campagnolo dropouts. Clear ly not an original finish, but a lovely metallic purple with minimal sign s of wear. The following braze-ons have been added before the repaint: top tube cable guides, shifter bosses and bottle mount. The rear is spaced at 120mm (for a 5-speed freewheel) but the long Campy 1010 dropouts make fo r an ideal fixed-gear conversion. The original fork is included and featur es a Cinelli style semi-sloping fork crown. The frame has a classic "fastb ack" seat stay cluster. The serial number identifies to precise year of pr oduction: WB5006140. The seat tube (center to center) measures 24 1/2" ( 62 cm) and the top tube (center to center) 22 1/4" (56.5 cm). Minimal flec ks of surface rust on the chrome should all polish off nicely. No flaking of the chrome. Minor surface rust on the front brake cable guide. A stick er was placed where the original head badge should have been. There are so me VERY small bumps (hardly visible, but you can feel 'em) on the paint e ither from the sticker or perhaps they are even removable sticker residue. I have an original headbadge from a '74 International that I can include i n the sale if the buyer would like it. Also included in the sale is a 3TTT Record stem (115mm in length) and GB handlebars (39.5 cm/15.5" center to c enter).
