Thanks Mike, I appreciate the Solgone/Berthoud connection (although I'm unc ertain about placing Gilles Berthoud's purchase of the Sologne brand in the 1960's - he strikes me as looking younger in any recent photo's I've seen of him).

I would like to have more info on the pre-Berthoud days if anyone has it. Regards, .M

Mark Sologne was the forerunner to Giles Berthoud's company. I think that Berthoud purchased the company back in the 60's. I have an older Sologne handlebar bag and the bag pattern is similar to Berthoud.
