The Super Mirage was pretty near the bottom of the Motobecane product line, and therefore not very collectible. Probably won't bring more than a couple of hundred dollars, even in excellent condition. Lots of these lower end models actually ride quite nicely if you aren't obsessed with a few extra pounds, and have an intrinsic value to someone who will actually use them which is much higher than what one could ever sell them for.

I am looking for help in estimating the value of a 1976 Motobecane Super Mirage with all original equipment. It is in near mint conditon. It only has a few scratches on it that are barely visisble if you look close, otherwise it looks like it did the day it was purchased. The paint is perfect as are all of the decals. I spoke to the original owner who tells me that he found the bike uncomfortable for his large backside and so he hardly rode it and didn't go too far when he did. It's a beautiful royal blue and even has the blue cable sheaths. Any help is appreciated. Rich Frachtling
