If you keep your box under a certain size (I forget what it is exactly, easy enough to establish the maximum size using the FEDEX web site), shipment coast to coast is about 50 bucks....but the maximum size before you get nailed with the oversize charge is fairly strict.. You have to really pack carefully, and it's tougher with larger sized bikes, and when you double-box, as I do routinely. Pick the right-sized boxes, pack carefully, and FEDEX ground is by far the best choice for shipment in North America.
