Don, no, you don't need Campy bearings or TA bearings. Buy some Grade 25 chromium steel bearings. Thre are lots of sources, but here is one I use:

A tool that comes in handy, same source, is:

http://www.biketoolsetc.com/index.cgi?id=949838526941&d=single&c=Tools&sc=Wheel-and-Rim&tc=Spoke-Rulers&item_id=PA-SBC1

This Park ruler measures spoke length, has holes fro measuring all the common bearing sizes, plus can be used as an ordinary metric ruler. No cyclist should be without one. Get the ruler, measure the old bearings, order the Grade 25 bearings in that size. Or your LBS can measure the old ones and supply the Grade 25 replacements. Don't mess with cheaper carbon steel bearings, Grade 25 are worth the small added cost.

The hubs are due for a rebuild. To get to the point, where can I get new bearing for them? Do they need to be from Campy or can they be from a ball bearing company? Can they be upgraded to ceramic? Can you folks recommend where to get them from? Also the T/A bottom bracket should be done also. Same questions on that also?
