Dear listers,

Besides the cromovelato Jansen Oomen frame and fork, I'd like to offer this 1980 Gazelle Champion Mondial 531 SL frame to the list.

I believe the Gazelle Champion Mondial's are well-known to the list by now, so I won't go into to the history of and successes won on Champion Mondial frames.

This one is special because of its tubing: Reynolds 531 Special Lightweight. Almost the same weight as Reynolds 753 (same wall thickness), but without the heat treatment. Many build details are the same as my 79 Gazelle 753: the thicker seatstays, the fork crown, the Roto bb shell.

As rumours would have it, 531 SL is not for the faint hearted or the heavy-limbed riders ... But Bernard Hinault used this tubing at one time or another, so why can't you?

I think this is a real fast racing frame ..

Paint is a very atrractive pearl-white, in quite nice condition. Some scratches, some scuffs, please see the pics. Included is the alloy Dura Ace headset, in good condition.

Pictures are here:

These are the measurements:

- seattube 56,5 c-t - toptube 56 c-c - 990 mm wheelbase - BSA threaded bb shell - 125 mm rear spacing - takes 27.2 mm seatpost

Price of the frame is 200 USD, shipping and handling (Priority, insured, trackable) to the USA is 95 USD. Payments only through Paypal please: faro@cistron.nl .

Thanks for looking, and, any questions are welcome!
