It never ceases to amaze me that when I have some question about an aspect of classic bikes, or mechanics, the question comes up here on the list before I get a chance to post it. . . how do y'all do that? I'm building a pair of wheels for my Pogaliaghi, using Fiamme Red label rims. What does one do with a flat spot? I've got the wheel trued to +- 1mm side to side, and its round except for one spot about 10cm from the valve hole that is about a 3 spoke span flat area. I'll state right here and now, I can build wheels get them round and true, but I'm no expert it takes me better part of 3 or 4 hours to get them laced and trued. I know how to deal with a hop, but this is different, there is no opposing hop on the rim.
Thanks in advance,
