On my way home today I came across a locked up steel frame. No decals save a Campagnolo one with the four diamonds. It was completely equipped with Gran Sport except the wheels which were modern replacements. Cinelli Milano stem and Cinelli bars (don't remember which). The curious thing was the headset, which at first glance appeared to be a Nuovo Record pista- steel, smooth cups, 8 flats on the adjustable race, etc. The only difference was "Colnago" stamped onto both sides of the adjustable cup. What's the deal here? There were no "squares" around the lettering to suggest that it was stamped by hand with punches. Any ideas?
