Tonard Brazing was a London firm that specialized in private label frames supplied to the trade for use with their own decals, so no surprise that no one has heard of them........my impression was that they wanted it that way. Tonard may have applied their own decals to the odd leftover frame, perhaps to one that was returned, or for a customer that did not have decals.

Tonard is better known for their brazed steel rod racks which competed with the similar Karrimor racks.. I visited the darkish (grotty?) basement workshop in London to see racks being made and later imported and distributed Tonard racks in the 1970's.

As Norris pointed out, the owner's wife was an import agent for Italian products, most notably for Campagnolo in the UK.
