Commuting to work the last three months, I've been using a Specialized Vega s headlight, of which I think I bought two or three about ten years ago. This light works pretty well and is rechargeable, so it is perhaps a bit e asier on the environment until you eventually throw the whole thing away wh en it will no longer hold a charge.
Visiting the Specialized website, it looks like they no longer make bicycle lighting, but I'd like to find some extra handlebar mounts to be able to u se this light on several different bikes, as I'm kind of rotating several b ikes that are suitable for commuting. The light slides onto the mount an d snaps into place. Was this mount peculiar to the model, or did all the Specialized haedlight use the same mounting bracket? Anyone have one or a couple for sale or know where I could find one?
While on the subject of headlights, anyone had any experience using recharg eable AA or AAA cells in place of the throwaway ones that come in a lot of headlights? I have a charger for the rechargeables that are used in so me digital cameras and in solar exterior lights, but haven't tried replacin g throwaway headlight batteries with rechargeable.
