I noticed the questions about a Sturmey hub with multiple cogs...
There is a shoulder on the larger cogs that moves the teeth over to the
side, there is also a spacer next to the cog on a lot of sturmey hubs.
(I even thought they did this on purpose and miss it on their new 8spd
hub) I suspect I'm not the only one who has done this, the first time
was with my second bike in the late 60s.
Simply remove the spacer and use 2 cogs with their shoulders bending
opposite directions, a bit of work to get it all together, but not that
much...
