I have posted on my flicker site a photo of Ian in 1978. It's from a Bike W orld magazine artical dated August of 78. As all of you can imagine at age 23 reading of such adventure on a bicycle, I was hooked for life. Over the years I would pull out the faded pages and read about him again to get myse lf "kick started", out the door and back on the bike. Take a look: http://w ww.flickr.com/photos/meauxtown/
Just a side note concerning the welding at the Jack Taylor works. All three brothers could weld very well not just Norm. Ken had quite a hand with the torch, according to Dave Radmore, who made 26 seperate visits to the works over the years. If you think about all the small items that they built, racks, stems, repair work on "other" bikes, Norm would have needed some hel p at times. So the brothers would step up the the bench when needed I'm sur e.
Enjoy the photo of Ian, he looks so young.
