Subject: [CR]Alex Singer, correction pronounciation

A good friend has pointed out to me that amongst the sea monsters that regu larly arise on the list, the way Monsieur Alex Singer would have pronounced his name is one of the more fearsome ones. As I wouldn't like to see this debate resurfacing and the list becoming obsessed with it, I will tell you, as an Englishman living in France, and knowing many expatriates or people of non-French descent living in France, that it is systematic, and I mean t his is a rule that suffers absolutely no exceptions, to pronounce French st yle. Nobody but a self proclaimed linguist ever atempts to (unsuccessfully) pronounce my name English style upon learning that I'm not French. Therefo re, the correct pronounciation for Singer is Sanjay, in France at least. It would be correct for an Englishman to pronounce Alex Singer the English wa y.
