Hi, there. I'm new to the group. My name is Bill Crowell, I'm 61 and an attorney by profession (please don't hold it against me) but I really aspire to be a bike bum, and I live in Diamond Springs, near Placerville, California in the Sierra foothills. I've had a modest collection of vintage road bikes ever since the early '70s, when I lived in Berkeley. If it's appropriate, maybe I'll post pictures of some of my bikes. How do you do that?
I like to do fairly long rides on my old Columbus-tubed, lugged frames such as my Waterford Schwinn Paramount (main rider) or my silver-soldered Don Milberger, but I'm not that fast. I still have fairly good endurance, like, probably good enough to do a century but not a double century. I'm a fairly decent climber for an old guy because we have so many hills around here. There just aren't any flat rides around here.
I also have a couple of tandems that are fairly interesting.
I hope to talk to you all in the future.
Bill Crowell
