Yeah, I never had any use for alloy crank bolts, Arnold or otherwise. A really stupid idea, IMHO. I mean one of the principal functions of a crank bolt is to tighten the cranks, and alloy bolts could not do so without a high risk of failure. They simply were not appropriate for the application. I have no problem with Ti BB spindles, cups or bolts, as long as they are Zeus, Stronglight, Phil Wood someone else who had a clue about titanium - Campy Super Record are best avoided. But aluminum simply doesn't work in BB's except maybe cups, and even then you need steel races. Alumimum cranks bolts should go into the history of cycling gear right alongside the Avocet model III hubs, with, IIRC magnesium shells and Ti spindles (mercifully I think these were never released) and the Original Plastic Bike. If these product has survived into to recent era of movie "product placements", which thankfully they did not, they should have paid big money to appear in "Dumb and Dumber".

\r?\n> Yeah, but..... To my jaded eye, they look cheesy and not
