I've used the 24 Hour Epoxy (NOT!!! 5 minute) with great success. I used it for years while in the Jewelry Business to glue Pearls on Rings and Earrings (they get a good amount of abuse). It's also used in the Sporting Goods Industry (Golf Clubs, etc.). I get several sizes of rubber bands to test for holding pressure (not loose, not tight) before applying. I insert it with a toothpick, being more generous on the inside where it will not show and wipe off the outside. (if doing it while on the Levers, use a small piece of Wax Paper so it will not bond to the Metal and trim any excess when dry). Billy Mays and Super Glue are no match in my opinion.
