I have a bit of a hard time determining the purpose.  Is it only used for a bottom feed cable?  It would have its use there but isnt a BB cable gu ide the answer?  BT

It is indeed a strange one. I have never seen outer cable stop mounted on

the mian body.

Wondered how the outer and inner cable can make a nice smooth turn at B/B

area.

It is FLAT face (front arm) with no "C" clip, and the outer pivot arm looks so shinny finish that indicates "BRONZ" material (you can emove it and see inside, yellow color), not GRAY alloy. The second generation mech from early 60's has been modified?
