Subject: [CR] Introductory wheel offer

Dear CR list,

I have posted here as a wheel expert, and some of you have seen wheels I have built, a pair of Record/Martano wheels auctioned off at Cirque '08.

Here's a chance to try not only my services, but Jan Heine's new Grand Bois rims in the bargain.

First, let me say that my full retail charge for wheelbuilding is $149 labor per pair. I know that is a lot, but I feel, and more importantly, my distributor feels, it is worth it.

Despite 30 years of experience building thousands of wheels, my signature wheel business is just starting up.

Because my favorite niche in the business is to provide "rider" wheels for vintage bicycles, I have decided to make a promotional offer to the CR list.

If I charged regular retail, a pair of Grand Bois rims on your hubs would price out like this: Rims @ $70 ea. Spokes @ $30 per wheel, Labor @ $149 and domestic shipping and handling $30 per pair. This totals $379.

For the first five CR list members who order a Grand Bois wheel set built on their hubs, the price will be $279, a savings of $100. The price includes rims, spokes and labor. The customer supplies the hubs.

Write to me offlist if you have any more questions.
