While I prefer Billy Ketchum's story about assessment of sound at the factory being the difference between Regina Extra and Oro freewheel designation, it is useful for the CR readership to know (via Robert Broderick's 1978 Regina catalog) that the Oro, Record, and Titanio series freewheels have ground ball bearing races and special pawls that engage 42 positions every revolution. By omission, the Extra freewheel doesn't have those features. These features would result in a difference in sound I'm sure, so perhaps Billy's story is true!
